Inspired by a life-long love of fabric and sewing, Karen began to passionately pursue creating quilts in 1997. In her work, Karen utilizes a vast array of construction and surface design techniques. Karen always embellishes her quilts with beads, buttons, ribbons, yarn, and other small objects to add texture and visual interest. Her original art quilts have been exhibited locally, regionally and nationally, as well as featured in solo exhibitions. An encouraging and enthusiastic instructor, Karen enjoys sharing her innovative techniques and contemporary quilting projects with her students.
