Since 4th grade 4-H, fabric and sewing has been a part of Wendy’s life. When she discovered quilting, the passion blossomed to a creative obsession. Each new project is an adventure and an opportunity to try different techniques. Wendy’s quilts tell stories of people, places, and journeys that have shaped her life.

Common threads found in Wendy’s work and classes include strong use of color, twisting the traditional to focus on original design, unabashed free motion quilting style, and the versatility to work with a wide range of quilting techniques and student abilities. Wendy’s energetic and encouraging teaching style inspires others to share her passion and to challenge their own creative boundaries.

Wendy is honored to be the 2009 Jewel Pearce Patterson Scholarship recipient awarded by IQA and Quilts, Inc. Her first book, "Photo Album Quilts," (available on her website), focuses on her picture image machine appliqué process, includes 24 of her quilts and many tips and tricks.
