After graduation from Lock Haven University with a bachelor’s degree in Education in 1978 I enrolled in a quilting class. Since my first quilting class in 1982 I sought every quilting class possible to improve my techniques.
November 26, 1986, I opened The Country Quilt Shop. By the time I sold the business I had taught over one thousand students how to quilt. I left that aspect of quilting behind and devote my time to teaching, designing and writing. I have four books published with the American Quilters Society, several self-published patterns, one book, and one DVD.
I have over 250 quilts to my credit, and my work has received numerous awards including seven Best of Shows. I was voted teacher of the year by the PROFESSIONAL QUILTER MAGAZINE in 1997. I have thirteen cover quilts to my credit. I have appeared on Simply Quilts and the AQS show American Quilter.
