"I recently had the privilege of taking the 'Portraiture With a Twist' class with Esterita Austin, in Canmore, Alberta. What a pleasure it was! Esterita very generously shared her ideas and techniques with all. She ensured that each student received ample attention and encouragement in creating their individual piece. The class was fun, exciting and we learned a ton from our instructor as she succeeded in drawing out the inner fabric artist in all of us."
Donna MacDonald, Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada

"I thoroughly enjoyed taking Esterita Austin’s class 'Portraiture With a Twist.' She presents her material in a clear, concise manner, adding just the right touch of humor and creating a relaxed class atmosphere. She draws out each person’s creativity, providing inspiration and affirmation with each step of the process while offering guidance and helpful critique. I particularly appreciate the way Esterita responds to each individual student’s needs and varying levels of expertise."
Nanci Imburgia, Colorado (Student Quilt Surface Design Symposium)

"Esterita is one of those teachers whom I love to work with because she is one of the most 'student concerned' teachers I have met; circulating through the room constantly to make certain that everyone is comfortable with the technique and gets the attention and guidance that they need. Esterita is all about her students—really a most excellent, gifted teacher! Thanks to Esterita for developing her fabulous techniques and for her enthusiasm for her students!"
Marie Z. Johansen, Friday Harbor, WA (Student, Fidalgo Island Quilters)

"I have taken several classes from Esterita and enjoyed them all. She explains everything clearly and answers questions cheerfully. She keeps the class fun and gives the students the freedom to use their artistic license. When I finished her class I had a quilt I was proud to show and tell people I made. Esterita is a teacher I highly recommend to all."
Nancy Baillargeon, Ohio (Student Quilt Surface Design Symposium)

"I've had the privilege of being in Esterita's classes several times and each time I'm amazed at the quality of her classes. She is particularly good at making difficult design concepts accessible to quilters with her extensive art background and fun and easy approach. Her directions are always clear and concise, and her wonderful sense of humor make her classes a joy."
