Naomi began quilting in 1996 and never looked back. She graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design, magna cum laude, from Washington State University. Naomi was awarded the 1999 Yale R. Burge National Portfolio award from the American Society of Interior Designers and the 2008 Olfa Young Designers Okada Award from the American Quilter’s Society in Paducah.
Naomi has taught not only as an art quilter, but also as a violence prevention educator and clowning instructor! Naomi is a very enthusiastic, patient, and engaging teacher. Naomi’s art quilts have been shown nationally, regionally, and locally in diverse venues ranging from galleries to public works installations. Naomi’s work has been featured in several magazines and she is proud to have a quilt in the "Alzheimer’s: Forgetting Piece by Piece" exhibit.
